The Portugal international, who had drawn blanks against Granada, Athletic Club and Malaga in recent weeks, finally hit the milestone in the 29th minute of Wednesday’s Group A clash with the Swedish champions.
He doubled his tally to equal Raul’s all-time record of 323 goals for the club, diverting home Lucas Vazquez’s right-wing cross in the final minute of the match.
The victory means Madrid have won both of their Group A matches, a record matched by Paris St-Germain, who were 3-0 winners at Shakhtar Donetsk.
