Nollywood Fans Pay Tribute To Late Actress Genevieve Nene



Nollywood Fans continue to pay tribute to upcoming actress, Genevieve Nene who passed away in Lagos on Tuesday after battling with malaria and typhoid.
Nollywood Director and Screenwriter, Ike Nnaebue announced the death of the actress on his Instagram page on Wednesday.
The Mbaise, Imo born actress had been diagnosed with malaria and typhoid by a doctor and was said to have been on prescribed medication for more than a month.
The actress had featured in movies such as ``Hottest Strippers’’, “Hottest Virgins’’, ``Quest of a Life Time’’, and ``Romantic Heart’’ among others.
The actress before her untimely death, had informed fans on her Instagram page two weeks ago that she was very ill and urged them to pray for her.
Jude Douglas, a movie analyst and blogger told the Newsmen that the actress would be greatly missed.
“She had impressed fans in her recent movies and had the potential to become a leading Nigerian actress.
“I have watched a number of her movies and she had been very good in her performances.
“I first noticed her as a music video vixen and no one could deny how beautiful she was.
“She was a star who cared for her fans and those of us who followed her on social media platforms could tell she was genuine,’’ he said.
Another fan, Olamide Onalaja expressed shock at the death of the actress and said she would be missed by her fans.
“I was one of those who left prayers on her instagram page when she informed us of her illness two weeks ago.
“I couldn’t believe it when the news of her death was announced, I was shocked.
“She is one of those celebrities who cared for her fans and related with us very often using her social media. She will be greatly missed by us all.”
David Ndifreke, a dance choreographer described the actress as a lady with a good spirit and prayed God Almighty to grant her soul eternal rest.
“I first met Genevieve at a dance rehearsal for a music video we shot in Lagos and I saw her as attractive but what impressed me was how kind she was.
“She will always remain in our prayers as she rests in perfect peace with God,’’ Ndifreke said.
