About The Death of John Snow - Game of Thrones

"I’m not asking you to forget your dead. I’ll never forget mine. I lost fifty brothers the night that Mance attacked the Wall. But I’m asking you to think about your children now. They’ll never have children of their own if we don’t band together. The Long Night is coming and the dead come with it. No clan can stop them. The Free Folk can’t stop them, the Night’s Watch can’t stop them and all the southern kings can’t stop them! Only together. All of us. And even then it may not be enough, but at least we give the fuckers a fight."
Jon Snow[src]
Jon Snow is a major character in the firstsecondthirdfourth, fifth and sixth seasons. He is played by starring cast member Kit Harington, and debuts in the series premiere. Jon is the bastardson of Lord Eddard Stark of Winterfell. He was a steward in theNight's Watch. Now serving on the Wall, Jon has found a place of acceptance where the circumstances of his birth are of little importance. He has a pet direwolf named Ghost, and wields the bastard sword, Longclaw, which was a gift from Lord CommanderJeor Mormont, who took Jon as his personal steward and came to see him as a surrogate son.
On a mission to discover King-Beyond-the-Wall Mance Rayder's plans, Jon infiltrates the wildling army. While learning their plans, Jon falls in love with a wildling woman, Ygritte, and begins a relationship with her. Jon is later forced to leave her behind after they scale the Wall, returning to his sworn brothers in the Watch to warn them about the coming invasion.
After the Battle of Castle Black, the defense of which he helped lead, Jon is narrowly elected the 998th Lord Commander of the Night's Watch. As Lord Commander, Jon supports a controversial alliance between the Night's Watch and the Free Folk to fight against the White Walkers, and with his wildling ally, Tormund, he travels to Hardhome, where most of the Free Folk are massacredby the White Walkers and only a few thousand manage to escape with Jon. In that battle, Jon becomes the second black brother to kill a White Walker, in the process discovering their vulnerability toValyrian steel. After all his hard choices to do the right thing for the greater good, his strained relationship with his Watch brothers finally seals his fate. As they mutiny against him, Jon is stabbed numerous times and left to bleed out and die in the snow.
